Grasshopper is a chaise longue that is designed to create the unique sensation of being suspended in the air. This feeling is achieved through a smooth-sliding back motion that is engaged by body weight. When the optimum position is achieved, the chair stops in place, creating a perfect balance, much like being suspended. The designer’s inspiration for Grasshopper was derived from the childhood experience of climbing a tree and resting in its branches.
