The Elantra, Hyundai's Best Seller

The Elantra compact, called the Avante in Korea, is Hyundai's best-selling car on the global market. Korea offers an optimal environment for small cars that account for nearly half of all vehicles made by Hyundai and Kia. Analysts say the country provides the right mix of price and quality. At nonluxury levels, Korean quality more or less matches that of Japanese makers while production costs are at least 10% cheaper in Korea than in Japan.
