Hoping to give their boardrooms a more global perspective, big Western corporations including Goldman Sachs (GS), Procter & Gamble (PG), and Nokia (NOK) are adding directors from India, China, and Latin America. These directors can make key introductions, help unravel foreign bureaucracies, or bolster boardroom expertise on markets management has already penetrated.
