Carlos Ghosn: Prices Must Rise

Chief executive of both Renault and Nissan, Carlos Ghosn is pushing super-cheap cars in India through the two companies' joint venture with Bajaj Auto, a maker of motorbikes and rickshaws, yet he's sure prices are set to rise. On June 24, the automaker was near a decision on raising prices in Japan--which until recently was suffering from deflation--and suggested that other carmakers, faced with soaring raw materials costs, are considering similar measures.
