A two-year renovation transformed a Civil War-era Capitol Hill structure into a model eco-friendly building, featuring a green roof, a geothermal heating and cooling system, bamboo flooring, and energy-efficient windows. The building is completely powered by wind and designed to use at least 48% less energy than similarly sized buildings.
