Tennis hopeful Zheng Jie came from relative obscurity to become a global sensation when she fought her way to the semifinals at Wimbledon this year, felling world No. 1 Ana Ivanovic along the way. She and partner Li Na clinched the gold at Athens, a feat they could repeat with the home crowd cheering them on. Zheng, who at 25 stands just 5 ft. 4 in., won the hearts of fans after announcing that all proceeds of her Wimbledon wins would go to supporting the Sichuan earthquake victims. Her principal sponsor is Nike, and she uses Yonex racquets.
