Hiroaki Kitano is best known as the father of Sony's (SNE) robot dog, Aibo. A director at Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Kitano was one of the most prominent scientists at this year's conference. In a keynote speech, he talked about how the Creative Commons might aid in the discovery of multiple-drug treatments for diseases.
