Citysearch, owned by InterActiveCorp (IACI) lists reviews and business information for over 18 million U.S. businesses. Anyone can write a review for businesses on the site. Owners of companies ranging from hair salons to movie theaters can “claim” their pre-listed business and create their own Citysearch pages with videos, coupons, blogs, and menu descriptions by buying different marketing packages. Two years ago, the company began running an ad network, whereby it places business ads on several partner sites such as Mapquest for a fee. Citysearch has been profitable since 2005, and bought the local review site InsiderPages.com in 2007.

Traffic: According to comScore, the site attracted 15 million unique visitors in June 2008, with 63 million page views.
