Boorah collects and summarizes restaurant reviews from different online review sites to give consumers a comprehensive ranking. The site breaks down restaurant grades into food, service, and ambience, culminating with a ratio of “boos” (bad) to “rahs” (good.) The site makes money through online ads, and it recently launched a loyalty program that helps restaurants track repeat customers with a discount card. Additionally, any user can vote or add his own BooRah restaurant reviews by signing up with an e-mail address.
Traffic: BooRah says it features 550,000 restaurants with over 2 million reviews taken from sites like Citysearch and Yahoo, and has seen the number of monthly unique visitors increase double over the last 6 months.
