Yet to be built, the Aquatics Centre in the southeast corner of the Olympic Park will include a 50-meter competition pool, a 25-meter diving pool, and a 50-meter warm-up training pool. Swimming, synchronized swimming, and the water polo finals will take place there before a possible crowd of 17,500 people—and Michael Phelps may well be back in 2012 to try for more medals. The main water polo events will be held in a 5,000-seat venue next door. Also shown: Beijing's Water Cube, home to aquatic events at the 2008 Olympics.
