For some teenagers who went to camp, the answer wasn't just making lanyards or canoeing through lakes. Instead, a number of kids were learning how to write a business plan and create a budget at business-themed camps across the country. One notable organization that puts on such camps is the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship) (NFTE), a New York-based nonprofit that teaches business skills to low-income youngsters.
Flip through the following slide show to see students hard at work at the NFTE/CA Enterprising Youth Technology BizCamps in Florida, California, and New York. They'll be enrolling a new batch next summer.
