The Baltic state of Lithuania also benefits from several different broadband technologies. DSL constitutes roughly half of the local market, with cable and fiber-optics representing 12% and 23%, respectively. Like its neighbor Latvia, however, Lithuania suffers from a low level of broadband penetration: Only 38.8% of people have access to a fast Internet connection.
