A Chance to Vent
Artist Geoffrey Raymond set his portrait of Lehman CEO Richard Fuld out in front of the building—and invited anyone to write on it with one of two markers: green for Lehman employees, black for everyone else. One read: "Things can only get better…?" By the end of the day he got about 100 employees to jot on the painting, he wrote on his blog, and about 20 to 30 of them thanked him for the opportunity. The painting sold to an anonymous bidder for $10,000 on the afternoon of Sept. 16th.
