3 strip Technicolor camera - Marcin Wichary
Kalmus co-founded Technicolor in 1915, and set out to develop a way for capturing the colors of the real world on film. By 1939, Technicolor's process—using three strips of film running through a camera simultaneously to capture the three primary colors—gave us The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind, and helped spur Hollywood to shift over to all-color movie production.
