Atari's Battlezone was the first 3D arcade game. From a futuristic-looking tank, players fought in a valley surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. Later, Atari modified the game for the Pentagon: Army Battlezone replicated the controls and weapons of an infantry fighting vehicle for U.S. Army training procedures.
