Company: Golfzon

Kim Wonil and his father co-founded Golfzon back in 2000 as a maker of computer simulators for golf beginners who wanted to improve their golf skills without having to spend thousands of dollars on outdoor courses. But now the company has emerged as the world's largest provider of hardware and software for virtual golf, with projected revenues of some $100 million in 2008, more than triple last year's revenues of $30 million. That's because "screen golf cafés" have mushroomed in Korea, a country both in love with golf and with anything connected to the Internet. An estimated 200,000 Koreans play virtual golf every day, six times the number of golfers playing on outdoor courses.
