Park Young Wook started Allblog.net, a site that links bloggers, as his hobby shortly after he entered college. He turned it into a company when he was a junior in 2006, after it had gained traction among many thousands of blog writers and readers. Today it is the hottest hub in Korea's blogosphere, boasting 170,000 registered bloggers, many of them "power bloggers" with big crowds of regular readers. In January 2007, U.S. venture fund Altos Ventures invested $300,000 in Blogcocktail.com after recognizing the company's advertising business model. Among its clients are Samsung, NHN, and Cyworld. It expects revenues of $1 million this year, up from some $300,000 last year.
