What kinds of businesses does your angel group invest in?
We are looking for Ohio-based technology companies. Ideally they have a big idea that can be protected via intellectual property and the entrepreneur has the leadership skills to attract and build a first-rate team. We always prefer folks who have had prior experience in launching companies. But we'll look at any great idea.
Given the turmoil in the markets and the economic downturn, what specifics are you looking for now?
We are more diligently assessing the total amount of capital they have to raise because it may be tougher to raise [additional] money [down the road].
