What kinds of businesses does your angel group invest in?
We usually look for early-stage technology or life science companies. That includes software and Internet deals. Usually these are companies on the verge of generating revenue or that have started generating revenue. We like to have the management team starting to be formed and we can help fill in management holes.
Given the turmoil in the markets and the economic downturn, what specifics are you looking for now?
We are seeing more deals now that should be at the bank level. We have people requesting loans from us, which we don't do.
