What kinds of businesses does your angel group invest in?
We focus on cutting-edge areas of IT and media. We do deals in the Boston area and well into Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
Given the turmoil in the markets and the economic downturn, what specifics are you looking for now?
Even though we are optimistic, entrepreneurs need to go into the next few years saying, "My first round of money may be my only round of money." Don't come in [to a group of angels] and say "After we spend $10 million we'll figure out if it [our product] works."
