Aveva Group provides engineering software to utilities, shipbuilders, and chemical plants. Instead of using traditional drawing boards and plastic models, these industries now use Aveva's technology to handle each phase of a project's engineering workflow, from the initial design through 3D engineering layout to procurement and project management. Ever since Aveva created the world's first 3D plant design system in 1976, its client list has continued to expand. Some 85% of the world's top 50 shipbuilders now use Aveva technology, as do 27 of the 30 biggest chemical companies.
