Sovereign of the Seas
Making its debut in 1988, Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas was twice the size of its predecessors. Carrying 2,850 passengers, it boasts an atrium in the center and a lounge deck on top with 360-degree ocean views. The largest cruise liner in its day, it touched off a new battle of the megaships.
