Kia, Hyundai's subsidiary, is building a factory at West Point, Ga., for completion in the second half of next year. At the Georgia plant, which will have an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles, Kia plans to make the successor to the Spectra compact. The company is likely to make another vehicle there but has not yet made an announcement.
