Subaru Indiana
Subaru’s Lafayette (Ind.) factory makes the Subaru Outback, Legacy, and Tribeca. The 2.3 million-square-foot plant, Subaru’s sole American factory, began producing Camrys for Toyota last year. The Lafayette facility dates to 1987 when it started as a joint venture between Fuji Heavy Industries, Subaru’s parent, and Isuzu Motors; Fuji Heavy took complete control in 2003.
