Ford cut its stake in Mazda from 33.4% to 13% on Nov. 19, but the two remain close partners. In the U.S., Mazda and Ford run AutoAlliance International, which operates a factory in Flat Rock, Mich. On July 23 it began production of a fully remodeled version of the popular Mazda6 sedan. The plant, which also makes the Ford Mustang, employees 3,700.
