Favorite historical figure: Lance Armstrong. Best known for overcoming cancer to come back for an unprecedented seven Tour de France wins. What is most admirable is his unparalleled work ethic, utter discipline, commitment, flawless preparation as well as personal and team leadership. For those who don't know the sport, the Tour requires tremendous teamwork. Since his retirement, the impeccably orchestrated engines of US Postal and Discovery have since turned out professionals who have all gone on to have illustrious careers of their own during and since Lance's retirement from the sport. He is a brand in and of himself, an equity owner in several successful companies and has started one of the most powerful charities for cancer survivors in the world. Like him or dislike him, he is a professional who empodies perseverance, inspiration and leadership.
