With more and more people turning to Internet video, advertisers have been left scratching their heads over how to make a buck from avid Web viewers. Cue up Israel's Tal Chalozin and his new approach to video marketing. Unlike other video advertising that typically runs at the bottom of the screen, Chalozin's technology allows live, interactive pictures of products to be embedded inside videos during post-production. When viewers scroll their mouse over, say, an image of a coffee mug, a window showing the location of the nearest café could pop up. Or, an image of a magazine could take viewers to a subscription sign-up form. Chalozin's innovation already has earned him high-powered backers: U.S. angel investor Jeff Pulver has provided funding, and Innovid has signed up top-tier video Web sites that hope the company's approach to online advertising will reach the elusive Net crowd.
