Ceres looked only at InBev's (ABI.BR) policies and operations for this report, though the company is currently in the midst of a massive merger with Anheuser Busch. The Belgian company is credited for its environmental initiatives in Brazil, where it has replaced fuel oil with rice husks to power some operations and lowered CO2 emissions there by 32% over the past five years. However, the company fails to measure emissions that come from brewing and transporting its beer, and has not directly involved its board in the initiatives.
