Jobs Cut: 600

Warning of lower-than-expected revenue, Adobe (ADBE) announced on Dec. 4 that it plans to lay off approximately 600 employees, or about 8% of its workforce. The layoffs are intended to help Adobe focus on its growing online video and Internet-software business, Chief Executive Shantanu Narayen said.
