Monsanto (MON) is a "great franchise" that dominates the selling of genetically modified crops around the world. Its products help solve a big problem for farmers—the "need to be more productive with your existing land." While Monsanto stock was a top performer in 2007 and early 2008, it's fallen with the rest of the market. Croft sees it as one of the "babies that have been thrown out with the bathwater."
