Jobs Cut: 1,300
Unisys Corp. (UIS) said Dec. 22 it will eliminate 1,300 jobs globally as part of its plan to cut costs by more than $225 million annually. In addition to job cuts, Unisys said it is consolidating plants, freezing most of the salary increases planned in 2009, and suspending 401(k) matches, which totaled about $50 million per year.
