When Cincinnati Bell (CBB) was faced with the prospect of upgrading desktops for employees in call centers and help desks, the telecom service provider decided to try virtual desktops instead. It, too, used VMware software, as well as desktop hardware from Sun Microsystems (JAVA), according to the industry magazine InformationWeek.
