One of China’s wealthiest men after founding electronics appliance retail chain Gome, Huang was detained last November for alleged fraud and is allegedly being investigated for manipulating shares of a pharmaceutical company owned by his brother Wong Chung-yan. Gome has said it has been unable to contact Huang and on Dec. 23 suspended his and his wife’s management duties with the company. Huang’s current whereabouts are unknown.
