Famitsu

Famitsu

Toward the back of the café is a counter where some Home users will often stand, taking drink orders or doling out advice to anyone who asks. The giant statue in the center reflects Sony's collaboration here with Japanese video-game magazine Famitsu. Ikemoto said the brushed, dull metal he chose for the statue—a Famitsu mascot—"is a material that architect Frank Gehry might use in his buildings."

Upstairs, there's also an accurate reproduction of the Famitsu office. "Ikemoto wondered why we would want to make that," says Yoshikatsu Kanemaru, a producer for Sony's Home.
