Ranking 2008: 14 (Ranking 2007: 10)

Revenues: €145.0 million ($185.9 million)

Revenue Sources: Commercial (30%), Game day (35%), Broadcasting (35%)

Located in North London, Tottenham often has played second fiddle to its local rival Arsenal. Yet after winning the domestic Carling Cup, the English team has been on a roll. It reached the latter stages of the Pan-European UEFA Cup in 2007, although it has failed to match this success in the English Premier League. Tottenham also has made several savvy business deals, including a €10.7 million ($13.7 million) sponsorship agreement with gaming company Mansion and a jersey sponsorship deal with Puma (value undisclosed), as well as secondary agreements with telecom giant BT Group and travel company Thomas Cook. Its ranking fell the most this year due to the effect of the pound's depreciation vs. the euro.
