Alternative: "Energy" Layoff

In May 2008, the well-known ski resort company committed to slashing its $25 million annual energy bill by 10% over two years. Savings have come from using motion sensors and infrared technology to reduce lighting costs, as well as improvements to Vail Resorts' (MTN) snowmaking systems, making them more energy-efficient by using less compressed air.
