Villanova University, School of Business

Age: 22

Hometown: Deptford, N.J.

Major: Accounting and Management Information Systems

On The Economy: While I am worried about my own future, and the future of our underclassmen, Villanova has provided comfort in strengthening relationships with the business community in order to promote Villanova students as top candidates for recruiting and in supplying newsletters and advising resources to help with our job searches. This semester, the School of Business has even created a course to discuss and analyze our economy's current condition.

On Future Plans: I am thankful that I have a job with an accounting firm after graduating, but knowing that all companies are "cutting down" makes me a little less comfortable than I had anticipated being during my senior year. Villanova is active in service and volunteering, so if all else fails, I'll keep open the option of doing a year of service like Teach for America.

On Majoring in Business: I believe that majoring in business, regardless of the economy's condition, will be beneficial for our own careers (wherever we may find them), and that in time, we will be able to help bring the economy back to a healthy state.
