On The Economy: During what was a difficult recruiting season, the knowledge and skills that I have attained while at Ross helped me to secure a position. So I am especially hopeful as I look to begin my professional career next fall. However, I have seen how the downturn in the economy has negatively affected the job prospects and well-being of many friends and colleagues.
On Future Plans: After interviewing for a variety of corporate finance and consulting positions, I decided to remain with my internship employer, PricewaterhouseCoopers. I have a great respect for PwC's core values and beliefs and will be starting in an advisory position within their health-care team.
On Majoring in Business: I do not regret majoring in business because there will always be a need for new, innovative, and socially responsible leaders in society. A Ross education is not just about the world of business. Ross helps to shape its students, including myself, into flexible, strong, and mindful leaders for industries and careers both within and outside of the business world. My education will allow me to be personally successful—while making contributions to society—regardless of the future direction of my career.
