Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business
Age: 21
Hometown: Litchfield Park, Ariz.
Major: Marketing & Operations, Information Management
On The Economy: I have been in preparation over the last four years to enter the job market as a well-trained and educated employee. Though we are in an economic downturn, I am confident that the skills that I have acquired over the years will enable me to land a job.
On Career Possibilities: I am still in the process of applying to the marketing departments of various companies. I have also received some attention from NFL scouts regarding my play so I am also pursuing that venue. That is why Georgetown is so great: It has great academic programs and offers students a chance to pursue intercollegiate sports at a high level.
On Majoring in Business: I do not regret majoring in business. Cycles of economic downturn and prosperity are common. We are deep into a recession, but in the coming years those who are business-minded and have the necessary skills will be called on once again to help shape the economic structure of the U.S.
