In a recent ranking, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School scored first among 20 European business schools for gender balance, with a 40% female student population, vs. an average for most other schools that hovers in the 20s. The 37% female faculty rate ranked the school third in that area. "We pride ourselves on our diverse student population with individuals of different genders, from all over the world, with a variety of backgrounds," said Peter Rafferty, director of International Business at the school, adding that he hopes to raise those numbers by 2010.
