Doha International Airport, the only commercial airport in Qatar, has gone through many expansions and upgrades in the past couple of years, but it is due to be replaced by 2011. The airport is attracting a growing number of foreign tourists and transit travelers, while in the past it was mostly used by Qatari passengers and foreign workers employed by the oil and gas industry.
