Since the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance was founded in 1995, it has provided $8 million in funds to student "e-teams" from 200 universities across the U.S. Every year, 25 to 30 groups awarded grants of up to $20,000. On Mar. 20 and 21, 14 of this year's teams (and one made up of high school students) presented their work at the NCIIA's annual "March Madness for the Mind" event. OK, so it wasn't really a bracketed competition, but the event did provide a chance to assess how the teams are innovating. Take a look.
