Unlike during past economic slumps, workers and job seekers in this recession have access to a wide array of social media to vent about layoffs and pay cut—and even to look for a new job (see BusinessWeek.com, 12/17/08, "The Recession: My Facebook, My Therapist"). In the first five days after the launch of TwitterJobSearch in March, the site garnered more than 100,000 thousand views from people scouting for work.
