Thanks to funds from the U.S. government's economic stimulus package and the public's renewed attention to energy savings, 2009 is the year companies are planning to launch a host of tools that will sit in your home and wirelessly monitor data from your electricity meter—and even let you know if you're being an energy hog. A half-dozen companies are launching their first energy dashboards and a few others are starting to gain traction with already available online tools.
