Since the economic slowdown and financial crisis began, the U.S. government has assumed a much larger role in the U.S. economy.
And as with any trend, investors are trying to exploit this turn of events. In fact, in an era of sluggish economic growth, many market participants say the federal government may be one of the only drivers of growth in the economy.
