Amalfi Coast native Antonio Noviello bought the oldest Italian restaurant in Atlanta in 1982, a year after moving there. Having spent 20 years cooking authentic northern Italian fare in Monte Carlo, and later Bermuda, Noviello transformed Nino's with recipes from home, including Filetto Al Pepe: filet mignon embedded with peppercorns, served with a demi-glace and cream, and flamed in brandy.
