LEED: Gold
Starbucks (SBUX) is headquartered in a rehabbed warehouse that goes back to 1912. In 2007 it became the oldest building to be LEED certified, after its owner/developer spent $50 million updating the 1.5 million-sq.-ft. structure, installing efficient lighting and waterless urinals, among other features. Starbucks also buys a third of its power from renewable sources.
