The Southern Construction czar owns one of the largest privately held companies in the U.S. Since 1995, Mr. Gorrie has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Brasfield & Gorrie, a regional general contracting firm located in Birmingham. The firm has poured the concrete for the Georgia Dome and Georgia Aquarium, and has more than $2 billion in annual construction revenue.
