How'd he get so rich? With his brother Karthik, Bala founded the video gaming company Vicarious Visions, which created such games as Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Spider-Man 3, and Nintendo's Guitar Hero III. The studio has created more than 100 software titles selling more than 20 million units and accounting for over $800 million in retail sales. Bala is the president of Vicarious Visions and oversees the day-to-day production management for the studio. He holds an honors degree in chemistry from Harvard University.
