Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing's Hutchison Telecom International specializes in operating cellular networks in Israel, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets. In early May the company spun off its Hong Kong and Macao operations as a separately listed company. Hutchison Telecom International is a subsidiary of the Hutchison Whampoa Group, which also holds stakes in 3G operators in Australia and Europe.
